This page is used by the Rensselaer Club of New Jersey (RCNJ) to let RPI alumni in NJ know about ongoing professional, educational and fun events.

This Page is used to inform RPI alumni in New Jersey of numerous events organized by members of the Renssaelaer Club of New Jersey Leadership Committee. The committee meets monthly, rotating through Oradell, Livingston and Iselin. You may come in person or join by telephone. Anyone may join the committee or contribute ideas and feedback at a meeting or through this Page. Many of the events were ma

de possible by alumni who set up a behind the scenes tour of a facility they work in. If you have any ideas, please let us know.

We had an exceptionally beautiful day for baseball yesterday, with a little bit of everything you could want: solid pitching, a tight game until late, small ball and power, and of course, a win! ⚾

Students and alumni! Considering graduate school, or a career in research and academia?

Join RCNJ on Wednesday, September 16th for the third of our speaker series, “Degrees of Freedom,” where we’ll spotlight accomplished RPI alumni in the New Jersey area, one career phase at a time!

Our third panel is entitled “Back to School-Academia,” and focuses on local RPI alumni whose paths lead them back to where it started: on campus, in lecture halls and labs. They’ll discuss their careers since RPI, the causes and effects of industry experience they’ve had, and key decisions they’ve made along the way. Then you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss your own paths with them and fellow alumni.

Join RCNJ for the Wiener Dog Derby at Meadowlands Racetrack on June 6th at 5:00 PM to watch adorable pet wiener dogs (Dachshunds) race hilariously side by side, or more likely just run in circles. Bring your family and friends out to enjoy a fun evening in the grassy Backyard area of the Meadowlands Racetrack where you can watch and meet the dogs.

Join us on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 10:30 AM for a special behind-the-scenes private tour of the Delaware River Railroad Excursions’ maintenance yard in Phillipsburg, NJ, located near Route 78 and the Delaware River. We will witness the firing up of Engine No. 142 and see the ongoing restorations of many vintage passenger rail cars. After the tour, we will gather at a nearby restaurant for lunch. Space is limited so please register ASAP so you won’t miss out!
