What happens when the world has already decided who you are?

That question sits at the heart of our 2026-2027
Season, four works about the people, circumstances, and expectations that try to define us, and the courage it takes to become more than what we've been told.

Janeece Freeman Clark, our Founding Artistic Director, has more to say about it, and you can read the full season announcement through the link in our bio.

We'll be celebrating everything Vanguard has built so far at our 10th Anniversary Gala on September 26, and our season subscriptions are open now if you want to be there for all four shows. Learn more, linked in our bio!
