Montauk Boatmen and Captains Association At that time the MBCA was representing the charter and party boat captains. That mission has expanded to include the recreational fisherman and boatmen.

The MBCA was founded by a group of local captains for the purpose of insuring that their voices were heard by lobbying politicians both at the state and federal levels. As a volunteer organization, the MBCA has many dedicated individuals who donate both their time and money to support the cause of the charter and headboat industry as well as the wider recreational fishing community. At the meeting

s members get together in a social environment to discuss pressing issues and concerns. We welcome local businesses and marinas, and encourage both professional captains and recreational anglers alike to join. It is imperative to preserve our resources, and we at the MBCA need your involvement.

First annual MBCA BBQ was a huge hit. Great people, great food and lots of laughs. Our thanks to Phil and the crew at for hosting us. And to for spending his 50th birthday as our grill man. HBD, Bruno! And to and for the food shopping and grill! And, of course, thanks to all who spent the evening with us. It was a fantastic event and we’re looking forward to doing it again next year.
