Another huge house is going up on 42 Deforest Road. Shouldn't this be reviewed by the ZBA before being built? This house is larger than the other house! 8 bedrooms.

URGENT MONTAUK COMMUNITY.

Application to the ZBA to tear down the 800 sqft cottage on 29 Sanger Place in Ditch Plains to develop a 3 level 2379 sqft house with decking a swimming pool which needs 10 variances to build. It more than maxes out the lot coverage. This parcel is 60% substandard to our residential B zoning district lot size minimum and in an important and vulnerable watershed coastal area and flood zone. It is grossly overreaching to ask for 10 variances and it is what you call a “kitchen Sink Strategy” by making concessions in order to get the 3 most important variances. This couple also own another property on Deforest Road. If you cannot attend the hearing we urge you to write letters to the ZBA. Please email your letter of opposition to The ZBA and cc [email protected], and we will submit all the letters at the same time. Thanks to .in.kind_easthampton for bringing this to our attention.
