VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for our Spring Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup scheduled for Saturday April 11th 2026 at 9am. Meet at the Park and Ride on 4145 Fruitvale Rd, off Highway 31, Montague, MI. Bring gloves and dress for weather. Lunch will be provided! Rain date Saturday April 18th same time. Please message us if you can help.

WLASA is looking for kids ages 9-15 who might be interested in attending Michigan Out-of-Door Youth Camp this summer . It is a week long residential camp for ages 9-15 girl or boy sponsored by the White Lake Sportfishing Association. Please check out the link below to see if it is of interested to your child and message back to this page with child's age, name , your phone number ,email and the session they are interested attending. We will contact you with further information. To get the requested session we need this information by January 30 or sooner. Sorry quick reply needed. WLASA plans on sponsoring up to 3 kids, final decisions will made by the WLASA board.

We honored the volunteers tonight that make this organization White Lake Area SportFishing Association function from Kids Hooked on Fishing, Kids Fishing tournament, the Fish boil, Highway pickup to Walleye pond and in-between. Great meal, great company. Thank you volunteers, we are nothing without you, so many kids benefit, so many memories shared. Thanks also to Lebanon Lutheran for the use of your facilities.

HELP NEEDED ! Do you have a few free hours this Saturday morning at 9am. We could use some help picking up trash on Highway 31. Meet at Fruitvale Rd Montague Park and Ride at 9, brings gloves and dress for the weather. More hands quicker completion! Hotdogs, chips ,water and drinks provided. Message if you can volunteer.

Visit White Lake Community Library on Wednesday, September 17, from 5:30-7 for a moderated panel discussion featuring local and regional experts including Jill Ryan of Freshwater Future, Rick Rediske, Emeritus Professor at GVSU's Annis Water Resources Institute (AWRI), and Erick Elgin of MSU Extension. We’ll also hear from Ravenna High School’s FFA Stream Team who, with guidance from Grand Valley State University’s Annis Water Resources Institute, is helping protect Crockery Creek. Together, these speakers will explore the history, challenges, and opportunities at the intersection of waterways and development, and answer your questions during an audience Q&A.
This event is free and open to all. Registration appreciated.
