The mission of the Montague County Child Welfare Board is to meet the needs of abused and neglected children, and to assist foster parents and CPS

09/30/2026

As the temperatures start to drop and the holidays get closer, the needs of local children and families can change, too.

Sometimes support looks like helping keep a home warm. Sometimes it’s food on the table, clothing for colder weather, or meeting an unexpected need during a difficult season. 🫂

With the continued support of our Montague County community, the Child Welfare Board can help meet the needs of local children and families as they arise. 💛

Every donation, fundraiser, sponsor, and supporter helps us be ready when a family needs it most.

A need doesn’t have to look enormous to feel enormous to a child. 🙅‍♀️

It could be a health need. A school need. Or an everyday need that deserves care and attention.

MCCWB works alongside CPS and foster families to help support children right here in Montague County. 💛

It takes a village — and summer is a great time to look out for one another. 💛

As school wraps up and kids head outside, keep these Texas-summer tips in mind:

🌡️ Never leave a child in a parked car, even briefly
🏊 Always supervise children near water
💧 Encourage regular water breaks during outdoor play
📱 Make sure older kids have a way to reach a trusted adult
🏠 Know where your children are and who they're with

Our community is strongest when we all play a part in keeping children safe. If your family needs support this summer, let us know!
