Every month, Earth Peoples United opens a circle — a free, online gathering for community, connection, and the kind of conversation that nourishes something real in us. We come together across distances and time zones to share what is alive, to support one another, and to remember that we are not walking this path alone.
These gatherings are informal and heartfelt — part community check-in, part wisdom sharing, part sacred council. All are welcome, wherever you are in the world and wherever you are on your path.

This Sunday's gathering falls on the Mayan Calendar day of Wo'o (5) Aj — the frequency of the center of the universe and spiritual foundation, meeting the energy of Aj, the Daylord of the sacred staff, the one who stands between heaven and earth and holds the connection between the worlds. It is also the energy of family, community, and the bees. It is a potent day to gather, to stand together, and to remember what we are here to carry.

Join us on Zoom this Sunday, August 23rd from 10 am - 12 pm Pacific

There is so much beauty in this world, so much that is precious...

We invite you to join us for an evening in the company of people who have been holding something steady — elders, healers, and visionaries who have spent decades learning how to stay rooted when everything is shaking and burning, how to tend the Earth and each other, and how to find something more durable than hope to stand on when the world around us is heavy.

That is what tonight is.

The Earth Peoples United 20th Anniversary Gala opens its doors this evening at The Yellow Barn in Longmont — a gathering of wisdom, beauty, and genuine community to mark twenty years of walking the Beauty Way.

Come for the council. Stay for the farm-to-table dinner, the live music, the Mayan Market of Joy, and the silent auction. Leave part of a global family committed to taking action towards that which is sacred.

Twenty years of keeping the fire burning. 🔥

This weekend in Boulder Colorado— 28 years after we first arrived here — we returned to the same sacred ground. The children who laid the fire in our circle a decade ago without being asked, without guidance, simply knowing — are now nearing adulthood, approaching the very stage of life their parents were at when we first met them. Our sister Christina led the serpent dance around the Mayan Fire — the same dance she led as a young woman over twenty years ago. Her children danced beside her.

And then the elementals arrived. The fire burned hot and strong throughout. The Thunderbeings came. The winds arrived with force. The Grandmother Cottonwood held the circle from above and shared her essence with all who gathered beneath her. When the natural world shows up this way, it is saying: this is real. Keep going.

The elders of this path are precious. What they carry is irreplaceable. This weekend, Tat Erick Gonzalez and Sweet Medicine Nation offered teachings on the elemental nature of who we are — transmissions that can only come through presence, through fire, through the living circle. These same elders will be the heart of our 20th Anniversary Gala this Thursday, August 13th at The Yellow Barn in Longmont, CO.

The fireside wisdom panel is a rare and intimate opportunity to sit with people who have walked this path for decades and receive what they carry.

Boulder Colorado Family!

Join Tat Erick Gonzalez, Sweet Medicine Nation, and the Earth Peoples United family tonight for a welcome gathering and dinner tonight from 3 - 8 pm 🐝

This dinner is a gathering rooted in the remembrance that our world is calling for oneness, and that the path toward collective healing begins within each of us. Through Earth wisdom teachings and shared presence, we are invited to remember our right relationship with the Earth, with one another, and with the unseen threads that connect all life.

Guests are warmly invited to bring offerings — dried herbs, flowers, resins, dried cedar or juniper, colorful beeswax candles — which will be gathered into an Earth mandala, prayed over with love and gratitude, and carried into the Mayan Fire Ceremony the following day.

Dinner is provided and the evening is hosted at a private home. This event is offered by donation — all contributions directly support the outreach and mission of Earth Peoples United, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

August 1st is Belejeb (9) B'atz, the Day of the Women — and the Midpoint of Summer.

Belejeb (9) B'atz — in the Chol Q'ij Mayan Calendar— is the Day of the Women. B'atz is the Daylord of birthing, the umbilical cord, the threads of life that connect us across generations — of ancestral memory, artistic expression, and the feminine wisdom woven into all creation. Paired with Belejeb (9), the tonal vibration of nine — the number of emergence and birth — this is the ceremonial day when women are honored as the bringers, protectors, and weavers of life.

On these most sacred days, traditional Mayan communities around the world — sometimes in the millions — gather in ceremony, in prayer, and in offering. This is an ancient and unbroken tradition, held with extraordinary dedication across generations of people who have never stopped tending the sacred fire, even through the most difficult chapters of history.

We offer blessings to the Nanas, Medicine Women, Midwives, Life Givers, and Grandmothers — and give thanks to the First Grandmothers: Nan Ixmucane, Nan Ixquic, Nan Ixchel, and all those who carried the first sparks of wisdom. The ninth strand of the weaving is being witnessed. The birth is complete.

And August 1st is also the Cross Quarter Day of Summer — the midpoint between the Summer Solstice and the Fall Equinox. This is the peak of the summer — the first harvest, the moment when the fullness of summer begins to offer its gifts back. The light is still long but already beginning to shorten. The Earth is at the height of her generosity.

In many traditions this day — known as Lammas in the Celtic world — is a time of giving thanks for what has grown, offering back a portion of what has been received, and acknowledging that abundance and completion always carry the seed of release within them.

The fact that the Cross Quarter Day of Summer falls this year on Belejeb (9) B'atz, the most sacred women's day of the Mayan sacred calendar, is a genuinely remarkable alignment.

We encourage you to connect with the energies tomorrow and make an offering of some kind. Even something as simple as lighting a candle for the grandmothers — those living and those who have crossed over. Speak their names. Receive the thread they have passed to you.

And at this midpoint of the summer season, step outside and receive what the season has given. Name it. Give thanks for it. And offer something back — a prayer, a gesture, a portion of what has grown in you this summer.

Sending blessings to All Our Relations! ✨🔥🐝🌎

A path is opening.

The Remembering Path: A Seasonal Journey Through the Medicine Wheel is a program we have been building toward for a long time. It moves through the four directions of the Medicine Wheel — one season at a time, each one complete in itself. This summer, we begin in the South: the direction of Earth, of the body, of the full light of summer, of coming home to yourself.

Each season is guided by a circle of five teachers — the Mayan cosmological teachings of Tat Erick Gonzalez, the Elemental Qigong practice of Alfred Ray Lerma, the Dimensional Medicine wisdom of Dr. Melissa Coomes, land-based teachings from Jackie Eshelman at Deer Mountain Sanctuary, and the community container held by Heddi Gonzalez-Neale.

If you are new to Earth Peoples United, the best place to begin is the free Introduction Course — nine self-paced teachings that give you a genuine taste of this path. Find it at the link below.
If you are ready to walk the full South season, enrollment is open now. The season runs through September 13th, with two live gatherings along the way.

We would love to walk this path with you. 🌿

$200 per season · $150 for members · Payment plans available

Summer Solstice & Waqxaqui B'atz at Deer Mountain Sanctuary - June 2026

We had a beautiful gathering for the alignment of the Summer Solstice and Waqxaqui B'atz (the Mayan Day of Spiritual Renewal) — with relatives from the four colors of the corn, elders, youth, and children, ranging from 80 years to 3 months old.

We gathered around the fire and by the water to share with one another, slowing down to witness each other's gifts and intentions, and hold one another through our processes of transformation. We replenished and received — the blessings of the Earth, the winds, and the gifts of love through each other's support.

The Summer Solstice in the north fell on the Mayan day of Wuku (7) T'zi. We offered atol (cornmeal drink) and cacao to Mother Earth and the ancestors at the Grandmother Oak, led by the women, and then traveled to the ceremonial grounds to dance in the old way under the solstice sun. After feasting and gifting those who sacrificed to bring this healing to the people, the land, and the ancestors, we gathered around the fire to hear original songs from the youth and medicine songs from the community.

We celebrated Waqxaqui B'atz the next day with a Mayan Fire Ceremony in the youth arbor at Bear Paw Meadow, with many offerings for this next cycle — prayers for peace, connection, strength, and the fulfillment of everyone's gifts. Prayers for All Our Relations.

We completed the ceremonies feeling renewed and excited for what lies ahead — for the continued weaving of connection with each other, our commitment to maintaining the heartbeat of these ceremonies, and our deepening relationship with Deer Mountain Sanctuary.

Sending blessings to all. We hope to connect with you soon. 🌿🔥
