The Monrovia Historical Society has an exciting project planned for the Route 66 celebration on May 3 in Recreation Park. It’s a recreation of one of Monrovia’s special structures from the past. I don’t want to give away too much information but we do need a lot of newspaper for the paper mache project.
I’m happy to come pick up the newspapers. Construction starts on March 30 so we need them soon. Please text or call at 626 275-7568 Penny Zuk- the society would really appreciate your help and hope you plan to come to the event

All are welcome to hear Professor Susie Ling’s presentation on the diaries of Julius Parker- a homegrown soldier in WWII. The talk will take place tonight - February 8- at 6PM in the Monrovia Library Community Room. The event is sponsored by the Monrovia Historic Society and the Monrovia Public Library.
