⚠️ATTENTION MEMBERS⚠️

This Wednesday, June 10 is our last meeting prior to our Monrovia Local Fair, Saturday, June 20!!

Please attend the meeting prepared to make final arrangements for our fair:
- If you volunteered to make contact with businesses about donations to our silent auction, please come with updates.
- If you have enrolled in showing livestock of any kind, please come with the information you plan on showing at the local fair.

Indoor projects will be judged beginning at 10:00 am June 20 at Ted Everett's Auction Barn!

Evening festivities will begin at 5:00 pm to include our 2026 Silent Auction to benefit Rhett Rhea, a dog demonstration, poultry and rabbit judging as well as our livestock show.

In addition, I want to remind everyone that Fair Entry closes June 17th. Please do not wait until the last day as some of our members have had issues when trying to complete their enrollment!!!!

Hope to see everyone this Wednesday, minis at 5:30 and regulars at 6:30.

We'll have projects from your local 4-H youth, a livestock show, and an amazing Silent Auction that will benefit a local family in the community.

Be sure to mark your calendar, bring your family, enjoy some food, fun, and help support our local 4-H club members.

⚠️ 🍀REMINDER🍀 ⚠️

Indiana 4-H Animal ID deadline is TODAY - Friday, May 15th!!!

To be eligible for your county fair and the Indiana State Fair, your animals must be completely and correctly identified in Indiana 4-H Online (https://www.4honline.com ) by the end of the day.

Required DNA hair samples for all swine, meat goats, sheep, dairy cattle, and beef cattle you are planning to exhibit at the Indiana State Fair 4-H shows are also due to the County Extension Office by today. Late envelopes will not be accepted.

If you have questions on breed offerings at the Indiana State Fair, please refer to the respective Entry Book for species here: https://www.indianastatefair.com/p/livestock-new/4-h-competitions-entry-information .

A few Important 🍀 4-H 🍀 Dates to Remember:

- Our May 4-H meeting is this WEDNESDAY, MAY 13. Mini members will meet at 5:30 and regular members will meet at 6:30.

- 4-H Animal Enrollments are due by this Friday, May 15th!

- Fair Entries open May 18th and closes June 17th!

2026 Club t-shirts are available for pre-order!

All shirts will have the clover and Monrovia 4-H on the front pocket area and the full design voted on by members on the back.

Orders are due Midnight, Sunday May 3. Shirts will be ready to be picked up at the May 13th meeting.

Friendly Reminder, we have a 4-H Meeting today!!!

- At 5:30 the 4-H Mini members will begin their meeting.
- At 6:00 we will have a meeting combining the mini 4-H'ers and the Regular 4-H members to conduct necessary plans for the local fair and discuss T-Shirt/Sweatshirt orders.
- At 6:30 any 4-H member who are Beef, Dairy, Sheep, Goat, Swine, Poultry and Rabbit exhibitors will begin an In-Person Training for 4-H Livestock Quality Care. This training will be conducted by Rena Sheldon, Morgan County Youth Advisor. There is not a fee for this in-person training. The class is a 90 minute class and will conclude at 8:00.
- The remaining 4-H members will remain in the regular meeting until 7:00 with activities planned!!

We look forward to seeing everyone tonight!

The club members had a successful meet up on March 11th.

The mini members created shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day while the regular members heard from our Health and Safety leaders, Makenzie and Sawyer about what to do and not to do if you find wildlife around your home or while on your adventures. Regular members also learned to work together as a team in a jelly bean challenge.

The members voted on which t-shirt design we will use for our shirts this year to go along with the fair's theme. Rowen Fisher's design was chosen and our T-Shirt Committee is working diligently to create an order form, etc. so our club can have our shirts ready prior to the local and county fairs.

Our next meeting is This Wednesday, April 8th. The details are as follows:

Meeting tomorrow!

The next meeting is this Wednesday, March 11th. Mini members meet at 5:30 and regular members at 6:30.

If you chose to sell flowers for the Morgan County 4-H Flower Fundraiser, the orders and money will need to be turned in at this meeting.

The 2026 Morgan County 4-H Theme is "Let's Party Like 4-H Celebrating 1776-2026". The club voted at the last meeting to have club t-shirts & sweatshirts. We ask everyone to create a logo using the theme, then present it at the next meeting. This can be drafted on paper or computer program. Be sure to bring your designs to this meeting and we will vote to select the logo of choice for 2026 shirts.

We will also be forming committees for many projects. Please be willing to volunteer to help with these various committees.
