👍 Shoutout and Thank You, Monroe County Volunteer Fire Association 🚁

What started out as an idea from Association President Marie Johnson a few months ago has turned into a reality -- and an invaluable benefit -- for several fire departments in the Monroe County VFA 🚒

As we always say, it's your preference on how you ultimately enroll for a PHI Cares Membership, whether that's as an individual on behalf of your household, or through an employer, group, or organization. Marie's vision weeks ago was to be able to offer memberships to all firefighters in the county, and, through her hard work and attention to detail, we've done that.

Now, firefighters at Rocky Hill, Goodway, Mexia, Bermuda, and Uriah all have air medical membership coverage, not only for themselves, but for their households and families. (Also, thanks to Excel Volunteer Fire Department and Beat 1 who already had coverage). In the event any flight(s) are needed, those firefighters and members will face $0 in out-of-pocket expenses, including deductibles/co-pays being covered.

You, too, can offer and/or provide this same benefit to your organization and employees at a rate of no more than $65 per person, per year. Whether you're looking for a benefit to add to your employee package, or simply offer the service via payroll deduction, we can take care of it.

As Isaias approaches the Gulf Coast, efforts continue across all public service sectors to ensure our citizens, businesses, first responders and all parties remain informed, prepared, and safe.

While we continue to work alongside our EMA partners at home, we’re once again proud to partner with Pafford Medical Services and provide crews as part of their joint Special Response Team away from home. With exact forecast and impact details still to be determined, ERI is at the ready with two crews already deployed to Florida ahead of the storm. ☔️

• Prior to applying, applicants must provide proof and documentation of the completed classroom portion of Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC), and documentation verifying a current physical using the form provided
• If these two items are not submitted along with an application, the application will be rejected
