Backwoods Unplugged is a non-profit 501c3 organization. We provide supervised outdoor experiences and adventures for kids without adult mentors in their lives.

Our programs are designed specifically to give kids without the means or support to experience the great outdoors.

While it may seem like many kids would rather sit on their phones all day, the reality is there are a lot of kids who just can't get out because of finances or parental support. If you know of a kid in this situation, our program might be just the thing they need to break out into the great outdoors.

If you have a bad back or have trouble sleeping, it might be just the thing you need. If not, it might be just a few more pounds on your back.

There's nothing like spending the weekend after the Fourth of July in the great outdoors. After a long weekend of food, fun and relaxing, getting outside for a nice hike, kayak or fishing trip is the perfect way to reconnect with nature!

During the summer when kids are out of school, screen time can balloon to an average of almost ten hours a day. That means over 2/3 of some kids days are spent in front of a screen.
If you're worried about the amount of time your kids are spending on their phones or playing video games, but don't have the means or don't know where to turn, give us a call. Our programs are designed to get kids outside into nature and away from technology to reconnect with the natural world.
