We remember Correctional Officer III Charles Warren Harris, Jr., of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety- Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice. His sacrifice on October 28, 2020 will be Always Remembered, Never Forgotten!!!🖤💙🖤

Correctional Officer III Charles Harris died from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty.

We remember Lead Correctional Officer David Michael Anthony of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety- Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice. His sacrifice on October 27, 1998 will be Always Remembered, Never Forgotten!!!🖤💙🖤

Correctional Officer David Anthony was killed when he was struck by debris from a passing tractor trailer while supervising a work crew along I-77 in Iredell County.

We remember Chief of Police R. E. Lawrence of the Mount Airy Police Department. His sacrifice on October 27, 1941 will be Always Remembered, Never Forgotten!!!🖤💙🖤

Chief Lawrence suffered a fatal heart attack while on duty.

We remember Correctional Sergeant II Michael Robert Flagg of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety- Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice. His sacrifice on October 26, 2020 will be Always Remembered, Never Forgotten!!!🖤💙🖤

Correctional Sergeant II Michael Flagg died as the result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty at the Piedmont Correctional Institution in Salisbury, North Carolina.

We remember Special Officer Williamson Murray Linker of the Salisbury Police Department. His sacrifice on October 26, 1916 will be Always Remembered, Never Forgotten!!!🖤💙🖤

Special Officer Williamson Linker was struck and killed by a speeding automobile as he was directing traffic on West Innes Street.

We remember Deputy Sheriff William Arron Dameron of the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office. His sacrifice on October 25, 1935 Will be Always Remembered, Never Forgotten!!!🖤💙🖤

Deputy Dameron was shot and killed in Bessemer City while serving a warrant on a man to appear in court on charges of carrying a concealed weapon.

Federal Prohibition Agent James Rose was shot and killed while raiding a still in Asheville, North Carolina.

Chief Conner was shot and killed by a 17 year old youth he attempted to arrest for drawing a pistol on a man.
