2026 Scholarship opportunities for animal science students.
Are you a student pursuing a dairy-related career? The Animal Science department annually awards over $120,000 to students interested in careers in the dairy industry. Criteria for scholarship selection includes academics, extracurricular activities and interest in a dairy-related career. In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit a resume, photo, transcripts and statement of interest.

There's still time to register for our Fall Instructor Workshop September 26th and 27th at Huron Pointe Sportsmen's Association in Lenox! Become certified in a new discipline or for the first time. 4-H members ages 14 and up can also attend to become Shooting Sports Teen Leaders. Registration closes September 7th! Reminder no Caprine meeting this month.
The next Caprine Council meeting will be on September 15th at 7pm at the 4H office. Hope to see everyone there. At that meeting we will be discussing the Goat Banquet which will be on October 11th at 2PM at the Activity Center.

It's almost time for the 2026 Michigan State 4-H Dog Show!
Registration is open NOW!! See the below link for registration. All 4-H Youth age 5-19 as of January 1st, 2027 are eligible for this year's show. The show catalog can be found through the registration link.

REMINDER: All Counties must provide a volunteer for every 3 youth, including counties sending only one youth. Counties who do not meet their volunteer quota will not be eligible to send youth to the state show. We rely on your help to keep things running smoothly! No experience required, must be a Gold or Silver volunteer.
