American Legion Post 64 Monroe American Legion Post 64 Monroe, GA Post 64 supports many veterans and community activities.

Post 64 is a member of the 10th District and Walton County Veterans Council and conducts many of our events in conjunction with these organizations. A partial list includes support for the families of deployed active duty military. Veterans Day Observances at the Historical Court House in Monroe Georgia and ceremonies at Great Oaks Retirement and Assisted Living Facility, Walton Regional Nursing H

ome, and public school observances. Memorial Day Ceremony at the Rest Haven Cemetery, flag placement on Veteran's graves, and the Ride for America Parade. Quarterly visits to the War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, GA, including cookouts and Bingo games. Sponsor of Georgia's boys and girls state programs, High School Oratorical Contest, scholarships, donations of flags to schools and non profit activities. Benefactor to members of the Legion and community when disaster strikes, through donations and benefit fundraisers.
