📢 Christopher Youth Center is pleased to welcome Heather Coleman as our new Executive Director.

As we begin this new chapter, we do so with deep gratitude for the vision and legacy of our beloved founder, Dr. Carol Christopher, whose passion for serving youth established the foundation upon which Our House Inc, DBA Christopher Youth Center continues to stand today. We are also sincerely thankful for the faithful leadership of Dr. Ella Nimmers, whose dedication and commitment have helped strengthen and advance that vision.

Heather joins Christopher Youth Center with a heart for service and a commitment to honoring the legacy that has been entrusted to her.

“I understand that I am not here to create a new foundation. I am building on the one that has already been laid by Dr. Carol Christopher and strengthened through the leadership of Dr. Ella Nimmers. My commitment is to honor that legacy, steward the mission well, and help push the vision forward as we continue serving the youth and families who need us most. The foundation is strong. Big shout out to Jimmy’s Wrightsville Beach and all the Jimmy’s Bike Drive Team. Their donation of 16 bikes and helmets to C*C youth is such a blessing and will help them stay physically fit while getting fresh air and fun. Happy Holidays everyone!

This season of giving is a reminder of how generosity ripples through a community. Thanks to the donations of beautiful, fresh produce (courtesy of our friends at Robertson Produce) and shelf stable food items, we were able to create festive centerpieces for each table at our Steamboat and Tocqueville Society event. After the celebration, all food items were donated to our partner program, Christopher Youth Center, helping nourish local youth and their families.

We hope this season encourages each of us to uplift others in meaningful ways.
