Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana - NELA Chapter 6

Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana - NELA Chapter 6 Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a national 501c3 non profit VSO made up of military mothers, mostly. We are a support group for our troops and each other.

We promote Patriotism when and where we can, within our community and around the country. It is our goal to tend to our Past Veterans, giving them the honor and respect that they deserve. We care for our Gold Stars Mothers and Fathers in our area, assuring them that their precious fallen hero will never be forgotten by our community. And we support each other, in the good times, lonely times, and

hard times of military life that our children have set before us. We strive to educate the new military mothers and wives in the dos and don'ts, and have formed a close relationship with the other veteran organizations in our community. Our community cares deeply for our Troops and their families. In addition to our own military sons and daughters, we look after the National Guard units in our area. The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a non-partisan, non-political, non-sectarian organization. We do not support any political candidate nor do we endorse any religious organization. Albeit, we do appreciate those who do support our troops, and our country. The military represents all aspects of America as does our organization. Links to our website do not represent an endorsement. We are a 501(c)3 Organization. Organizational Overview

MILITARY MOMS ACROSS AMERICA

From small towns to large cities, from coast to coast, Blue Star Mothers are united by a shared journey and a common bond.

Across America, military moms come together to support one another, serve their communities, and honor those who wear our nation's uniform. Though we may live in different states and represent different chapters, we are connected through our love for our service members and our commitment to supporting military families.

Together, we celebrate milestones, navigate challenges, assemble care packages, honor our veterans, and remember our Fallen Heroes. We understand the pride, sacrifice, and strength that come with being a military family.

No matter where you call home, you are never alone on this journey.

We are Military Moms Across America, united in service, connected by heart, and stronger together. 💙🇺🇸

Lord,
Bless this beautiful country,
the families who love and serve it,
and the heroes
who put on the uniform each day
to protect our freedoms.

May they return home safely,
and may we never take their sacrifice for granted.

Amen. ❤️

Back when we believed our heroes deserved better than our politicians, this was common sense. Those boys who came home from Vietnam, Korea, and World War II earned every benefit we could give them, not empty promises and political games.

Such a tragedy, please say a prayer for these families left to grieve.

Such a tragedy, please say a prayer for these families left to grieve.

Tonight, we pause to remember the eight lives lost in the tragic B-52 crash at Edwards Air Force Base.

These were not just aircrew members, civilians, and contractors on a test mission. They were sons, daughters, spouses, parents, friends, teammates, and fellow Americans who answered the call to serve our nation in different ways. Eight families are now facing an unimaginable loss. The names of those lost have not yet been released as officials continue to notify next of kin. (AP News)

As we await their identities, we honor their service, their sacrifice, and the loved ones who will forever carry their memory.

Please join Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana Chapter 1 in keeping these families, the Edwards Air Force Base community, and all those affected by this tragedy in your prayers.

May we never forget that freedom is sustained not only by those in uniform, but also by the dedicated civilians and contractors who serve alongside them every day.

🇺🇸 Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

There is a kind of relief that only military families understand.

No matter how strong we try to be, no matter how busy we keep ourselves, there is always something simmering beneath the surface when our loved one is deployed. A constant worry. A lingering fear. An ache that never fully goes away.

And then the phone rings.

For a few precious moments, you hear their voice.

Suddenly, the weight on your chest feels a little lighter. The endless "what ifs" quiet down. The fear, the anxiety, the frustration, the helplessness .... all of it fades into the background.

Just hearing their voice reminds you that they're okay today.

As military moms, dads, spouses, grandparents, siblings, and loved ones, we spend so much time carrying emotions that most people never see. We smile. We work. We raise our families. We keep life moving forward.

But there is a fierce storm that lives inside us while they're away.

And somehow, hearing their voice calms that storm.

It doesn't erase the distance. It doesn't remove the danger. It doesn't make us stop missing them.

But for a little while, it gives us peace.

So today, if you're lucky enough to get that phone call, soak it in. Listen to every word. Let that familiar voice settle your heart and remind you that love can travel across oceans, deserts, mountains, and continents.

And if you're still waiting for your next call, know that you're not alone.

We're all counting down the days together.

🇺🇸❤️ Patriot Mama
