☀️ Boating Season Is Here ☀️

Marine Patrol is back on the water for the start of another boating season. Our officers will be patrolling the waterways, promoting safe boating practices, assisting those in need, and helping everyone enjoy a fun and safe summer on the water.

As you get your boats into the water, remember to check your safety equipment, wear your life jackets, have a sober operator, and be courteous to others sharing the waterways.

We're looking forward to another great season and wish everyone safe travels and unforgettable days on the water.

WOODBURY FUNDING: A new Town Hall is coming to Woodbury thanks to $4 million in state funding.

The money will be used to purchase and renovate the former St. Patrick’s Education Center on Hunter Street in Highland Mills, which closed in 2023 as part of an Archdiocese consolidation.

Plans call for the building to become the new home of town government, housing the supervisor’s office, town clerk, tax collector, assessor, parks department, and public meeting space. A community room will also be added, while the gymnasium will remain available for recreation programs.

Officials say the funding will cover the entire cost of the project, including the $1.9 million purchase price and $2.1 million in renovations. Town leaders say taxpayers will also save money in the future by eliminating the town’s current office lease.

State and local leaders joined residents Monday to celebrate the announcement and the preservation of a longtime community landmark.

🎬 Interested in acting?

The Academy of Film, Television, Stage and Performing Arts (AFTSPA) is hosting a FREE Meisner Level 1 Acting Workshop on Monday, June 15 at 6 PM in Goshen, NY.

Led by David Patrick Wilson, a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse who studied under Sanford Meisner and William Esper, the workshop will cover acting fundamentals, the Meisner Method, career development, and more, followed by a Q&A.

As film and television production continues to grow across New York and the Hudson Valley, opportunities for local talent are expanding!
