Today we join Camp Quality USA in honoring Indigenous Peoples' Day. 🧡

Louisiana is the homeland of the Houma, Chitimacha, Choctaw, Coushatta and Tunica-Biloxi peoples, among others, whose history and resilience continue to shape our state.

We're grateful for all the children, families, volunteers and community members who make Camp Quality Louisiana a place where every kid belongs.

Today, on Indigenous Peoples' Day, we honor the history, cultures and resilience of Indigenous peoples, past and present. 🧡

We're grateful for the Indigenous children, families, volunteers and community members who are part of the Camp Quality family. Your stories and strength make our community richer, and we're proud to walk alongside you.

Camp Quality brings joy, belonging and hope to children with cancer and their families, and every one of them deserves to feel seen and celebrated.

Family Camp Weekend at Camp Quality Louisiana! 🌟

This past weekend, families came together for a weekend full of laughter, friendship, and the kind of joy that only happens at Camp Quality. For these families, camp is a place where cancer takes a back seat, kids get to just be kids, and parents finally get to exhale alongside others who truly understand.

From activity to activity, every moment was a reminder of why this community matters so much. Thank you to our incredible volunteers, staff, and supporters who make these weekends possible, all at no cost to the families we serve.

Thank you, Dream Day Foundation! 💛 At Camp Quality Louisiana, we believe no child or family should face cancer alone. That's why we're so grateful for our partnership with Dream Day Foundation.

Together, we're supporting kids with cancer and their families every step of the way. Thanks to Dream Day Foundation sharing our Family Camp with the families they serve, we're ready to welcome families to camp this weekend! Parents, siblings, and grandparents will get to step away from treatment schedules, be together, and connect with others who truly understand.

What does it actually mean to be a Camp Quality Companion?💙🎗️

It means being the person who cheers them on when they try something new. The person who tapes a pool noodle to their back and joins in on the ridiculous camp games. The person who listens, laughs, encourages, and helps children with cancer just be kids again at camp. You don't need to be a medical professional or a camp expert, you just need to show up, be yourself, and be ready to make some memories!

What is family camp? It's a weekend of FUN and CONNECTION for kids with cancer and their families. Outdoor adventures, meals together, laughter, and memories! This program is designed to give families quality time outside of hospital walls.

Hi, Louisiana Friends! 👋

It's been awhile so let us reintroduce ourselves! We're Camp Quality Louisiana, and we're so glad you found us!

If you've never heard of Camp Quality, here's the short version: we give kids with cancer a week to just be kids.

Every summer, we welcome children who are in treatment or in remission to a completely free, medically supervised camp where the hospital fades away and the fun takes over. Swimming, campfires, talent shows, messy crafts, and a lot of laughing. Each camper is paired with their very own volunteer companion for the whole week, so no kid is ever alone, and every camper feels like the most important person there.

And when camp ends, we don't disappear. Our year-round programs keep campers, siblings, and parents connected to a community that truly understands what they're going through.
Camp Quality has been doing this for 40 years across the country, and we're proud to bring that same magic to families right here in Ponchatoula and the surrounding communities.
