David said this is the day that the Lord hath made I will rejoice and be glad in it. It is a decision we make everyday to follow the Lord and to trust that he will see us through what ever our circumstances might be.
It is time to put your faith and trust in Jesus. If you have been someone following in the distance like Peter then you need to make a bold decision to make and not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation.
If you have never trusted Christ as your savior you need to repent of your sin and ask Christ to come into your heart and let the Holy Spirit guide you into life everlasting.
What does it mean to repent. It means to change the way you think followed by changing the way you act. Renew your mind by reading Gods word and doing what it says. If you lie stop it if you steal stop it if you are a fornicator stop it. The gospel is pretty simple. If you want to follow Jesus you have to follow Jesus. There was a popular saying years back” what would Jesus do” can you I imagine him doing any of those things I just mentioned?
When Christ returns will he know who your if not you need to get ready to meet him now.

Happy new year to all of our friends.Each year I ask the Lord for a word or a phrase to help me as a sign post or guide for the year. This year as I was doing my devotion this morning I saw a word in the in the Bible I had never seen before even though I have read it through many times. It in Acts 27:14. The word Euroclydon which referred to a storm. The one that caused Paul to be shipwrecked.
As I was pondering the word that I had never seen this thought came to me.
Be “keen” in 2019.
The definition for keen are many:
Having or showing eagerness or enthusiasm, extremely sensitive or responsive. Example keen eyes, ears, intense, sharp, focused.
I don’t make New Years resolutions because those are things that we decide we won’t to do but don’t have the will to keep them going very long after the first week. Rather I ask the Lord as I said to give me something from him that inspires and motivates me for the year.
I am already looking forward to the year as I approach it with keen eyes ears and enthusiasm knowing that I need to be aware of “Euroclydon” the fierce wind or storm that could very well be on the horizon.
As the story goes with Paul in the book of acts he had already been warned by God not to sail but the crew hadn’t received the message from the Lord as he had so they assumed that everything was ok to sail. Paul has also been told that there would be no loss of life but the ship would be destroyed.
I was encouraged as I came from my quite time to be keen in 2019 be aware of a possible storm but know that you will make it through the storm.
As Jesus always said to his disciples
He that has an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying to the church.
Be “keen” in 2019

Prophetic Words by Benjamin Franklin should be headed today maybe that would get us out of the mess we are in if we would go back to the wisdom of the founders. I quote from mr Franklin from the constitutional convention when they were at an impasse and after they prayed they came to a compromise and the constitution was written. “I have lived , sir, a long time, and the longer I live , the more convincing proofs I see of this truth- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the sacred writings, “that except the Lord build the house they labor in vain that build it.” I firmly believe this: and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel. We shall be divided by our little partial local interest; our projects will be confounded; and we ourselves shall become a approach and byword down to future ages. I, therefore , beg leave to move that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberation be held in this assembly every morning we proceed to business, and that one or more of the clergy in this city be requested to officiate in that service.

Thanksgiving is approaching and we all have so much to be thankful for. I would like to put this news out there. We are ministering to a young girl who is living with us and being homeschooled and has a part time job. Not someone who is lazy and unproductive but she is only 16 and she needs a car to go to work and class once a week.
Our ministry is taking care of the food and lodging and school cost and I was hoping someone who reads this might like to receive a blessing and consider donating a car to the ministry that we could give her. Comfort ministries has been praying about our next move as a ministry. Our vision is to restore hope. Our mission is to speak light into darkness bring order out of chaos and create places of refuge. We are just shifting gears we will still be ministering to the needs of people just in another form.
We have worked with men coming out of addiction helping them to get back into society over the years. The thrift store helped with the finances to minister to the so it was a hard decision to shut it down.It seems as the lord has opened a door for us to do transitional housing for women.!we are currently working with several to help them through an abusive situation. We are trusting the Lord to help us create these places of refuge for the women.
Our heart is not only to help them transition but to disciple them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. we will be looking for those who are hungering and thirsting after righteousness.

We will be having a one day only remodeling sale at comfort ministries mission store 3005 hwy 11 nw. We will have Christmas stuff and glassware and other items. Come and do your after Thanksgiving buying with us. Actually we don’t sell these items but take a donation. Sat Nov 19
