House 1:14 To create an atmosphere at House 1:14 where kids grades 6-12 can experience a God-centered environment after school while they wait.

House 1:14 is open in Monroe, Indiana as a safe place for middle school & high school students from Adams Central Schools to come after school. We provide food, adult supervision and interaction. The house is run on donations and the students attend free of charge. Vision ~ To create a home with an atmosphere where our young people can experience a God-centered environment after school, while they wait.

~House 1:14 is a place where kids can experience a feeling of security, thus helping meet their emotional needs

Out with the old! In with the new! These pillows were donated 10 years ago and while they added coziness and craziness they were in dire need of retirement! We had talked several times about replacing them but never seemed to get around to it or find them priority! However, isn’t it just like God to be in those very minor details of making house 1:14 exactly as I dreamed it to be! When I got a text asking if we could use updated couch pillows, I said absolutely yes! And today they walked in the door from a dear donor and don’t they just look fabulous!! Thank you to all who take the nudge to donate both things and funds! It is so greatly appreciated!!

Story time! 🤎🐄🥩🤎🐄🥩🤎

I was asked to share an update about House 1:14 at my church this past spring. In preparation for that they asked me to put together an Amazon with list, so I did! He also asked me to think of a couple big asks and let’s see what God does! So after some thought, since we were nearly out of beef and our security camera system is aging I came up with a cow and a security system! That day I shared in the interview an update and we soon came to the needs question! We teased about the cow…which was noted as not to be kept as an animal out to pasture in our yard 🐄 but to become a ton of beef 🍔! And wouldn’t you know, before I was even done talking someone texted offering to supply the beef! Through the coarse of the day we had someone offer Sloppy Joe meat! Some one offer beef they had to get us by! We had another offer a soon to be coming partial quarter that would come soon! And the full beef that needed to be found, finished, and butchered! Wow! Does God ever provide!! Today was pick up day for the full beef! So very thankful to our Lord Jesus, First Missionary Church, all of our beef donors, Manly Meats, and the volunteers that helped me unload it for filling our 2 deep freezers full of beef! Another question we received was can you store that!! Yes, why yes we can!! We have 2 large deep freezers in the basement that we use regularly sometimes for Sam’s Club runs, cookies and pork we have also had donated (but that’s another story)! And as for now it’s with deep deep gratitude that I humbly say thank you. A full freezer must mean we will be around awhile fixing lots of food for lots of kids! We have lots of goals anticipating our 10th anniversary! Being around for another 10 years and getting back to 5 days is part of them! With all this meat, I’m trusting that’s going to happen! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Praise the Lord with us for the 400 pounds of beef!!!

Well remember that unexpected comment 45 minutes ago?? MS football is cancelled due to the heat. While I’m very thankful they are protecting our boys, I have 32 mini subs here and ready to eat! Pick up your son at 4:30 and swing by the house and pick one up on your way home! We are here ‘til 5
