Juniper came to us scared after being surrendered more than once. New people, new sights, new smells, new sounds—it was a lot for such a sweet boy. 💛

Then one of our board members adopted him, and now he is thriving. It’s stories like his that remind us exactly why we do what we do.

🌙 5 Things to Know Before Tails at Twilight!

We’re getting closer to Tails at Twilight! Here are a few things to know before you join us for the evening:

1. Due to the serving of adult beverages, Tails is an 18+ event; alcohol is served only to those ages 21+ and we will be checking IDs at the door to make sure the event is fun and safe for everyone!

2. Costumes are encouraged! Get creative and have some fun with the evening’s theme or come up with something all your own! Don’t forget the costume contests, too!

3. Food & drinks are included with your ticket, so come hungry and ready to enjoy the night!

4 Auction bidding goes ALL night! Keep an eye on your favorites and make sure you get your bids in before the evening comes to a close.

5. Door prizes & fun awards will be happening throughout the night, so you never know when your name might be called!

Most importantly, your ticket helps provide care for the cats of River Cities Humane Society for Cats.

We can’t wait to see you on Saturday! 🌙🐾

There's a little magic in the air at the Biedenharn Museum & Gardens!

The cats of River Cities Humane Society have sent their favorite wizard-in-training off on a very important mission: to compete in the 8th Annual Scarecrows in the Garden!

Armed with his broomstick, a little wizardry, and a whole lot of purr-sonality, he's ready to cast a spell on the competition!

Stop by the gardens, check out our magical creation, and show our shelter some love! ❤️

A little behind-the-scenes rescue from today. (We remembered to get photos this time 😹)

We got a call about a crate covered by a tarp on a trailer that had been dumped on someone’s property. When she looked under the tarp, these cute little heads popped up.

We’re so thankful she stopped to check and that we were able to help. ❤️

This is a prime example of how important spaying and neutering is. It’s one of the best ways we can prevent more kittens from ending up in situations like this. Low-cost options and assistance programs are available locally for those who need help.
