The society was formed in the spring of 1989 and is approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is registered with the state of Louisiana as a non-profit corporation organized for charitable and educational purposes.

Some of our wonderful fosters have been taking great care of little Johnny, a kitten found in someone’s engine outside a Johnny’s Pizza.

We're excited to announce that Magic: The Gathering artist Ashly Lovett will be joining us for our June Commander Kitties event at Hobby Hits!

Come play some Commander, meet Ashly, get your cards signed, and help support the cats at River Cities Humane Society for Cats. We'll also have shelter merch available, a free snack bar, and booster pack raffle prizes throughout the evening.

Entry is $10 and includes one booster pack raffle ticket. Extra raffle tickets are $5!
