Monroe Newcomers and Neighbors Club (of Monroe, CT)

Whether you have just moved to town or are a long-time Monroe resident looking to be more active, MNN welcomes you!

Monroe Newcomers & Neighbors (MNN) is a women’s social and civic organization providing Monroe residents with an opportunity to make new friends, socialize, network and be active in the community. We hold monthly events such as Book Club and Bunco nights and social events throughout the year, such as wine tastings, crafts nights out and game nights. Annual events include our Kick Off in September,

Holiday Couples Social and Ornament Exchanges in December and Year End Dinner in June. Civic events include a mock baby shower to benefit the maternity ward at Bridgeport Hospital, food drives to benefit the Monroe Food Pantry and participation in the town’s annual Giving Tree. We also have a playgroup for children pre-school age and younger. Whether just one or all of these events interest you, you are welcome to be as involved as you would like!

Hi ladies!

As we gear up for the 2025/2026 Season, it's time to focus on some well-deserved "me" time. If you haven't already, we invite you to join the Monroe Newcomers and Neighbors Group - a social and civic organization open to all women in Monroe, whether you're a newbie in town or a seasoned local.

Throughout the year, our group organizes a range of events, from monthly book clubs, Bunco game nights to craft evenings, kids playgroups, and festive gatherings like Mothers Day at Jones Winery and holiday parties. We also actively support our community through food drives, donations, fundraisers, and volunteering opportunities.

Joining MNN is a wonderful way to connect with women of all ages and backgrounds, fostering lasting friendships. Plus, there's no pressure - attend the events that suit your schedule and interests. Annual memberships is only $40, with proceeds dedicated to group operations and community initiatives.

Hey ladies! Now that school and fall activities have begun to settle into place, it's time to do something for ourselves. If you haven't already, consider joining THIS amazing group... the Monroe Newcomers and Neighbors Club, a social and civic organization. Don't let the title fool you... it is open to ALL women in Monroe (new to town, have been here for many years, or anywhere in between).

Depending on the year we have between 45 and 70 members and host events such as monthly book clubs, monthly Bunco game nights and social events such as craft nights, kids playgroups, Mothers Day at Jones Winery, holiday parties, secret sister parties, family picnic in the park and many more. We also give back to our great community through food drives, donations to help women in need through a mock baby shower, monetary donations for community fundraisers, and volunteer to help where needed.

We offer a great way to get to know ladies of all ages from all parts of town and the friendships formed through this group are often life-long. The best part... you attend the events you can attend and skip the ones that just don't work for your schedule... it's definitely a no-pressure group! 🙂 Yearly memberships are just $40. Happy Mother’s Day! Monroe Newcomers & Neighbors friends had a fabulous time celebrating early on Friday. Thank you Jones Family Farms Winery for taking such great care of us! The “momosas” were 🔥

We had a great time today at Monroe Social for our 2023 Mock Baby Shower. We filled an SUV with diapers and wipes to donate to the The Center for Family Justice, Inc. (more that aren’t pictured and some that are still to be purchased). To everyone who donated, thank you… our amazing community group will truly make a difference to families in need. And we certainly had some fun while doing it!!! 🍾🧇🥑🥗
