129th GFWC-WI State Convention held April 23-26 at Ho Chunk Casino and Hotel in Baraboo. Presentation of colors by the Ho Chunk Nation tribe. Club Awards were announced; with special recognition given to Shelly Isely for serving as 2nd VP and for receiving club reports. Helen Farnsworth Mears & member art winners were announced by Alice Kranig and Shirley Brabender Mattox. Fourteen awards were received by GFWC Monroe Woman’s Club members for their artwork. Marlea Steiner and Pat Brandenburg announced the state Health Scholarship winners. State nomination committee announced the 2026-2028 GFWC-WI Officers. Special thanks was given to Melisa Schmidt Zettle for her service on the Environment Committee and on the Nomination Committee.

GFWC Southern Prairies District- April 11. Judging of the district Art that was submitted by clubs; coordinated by Alice Kranig. The installation of District Officers for 2026-2028; Mary Miller served on the Nomination Committee. Marlea Steiner will serve on the Southern Prairie’s Board. Seven Monroe club members attended the meeting. Great day of networking as well!
