Academy is a premier organization focused on nurturing and developing diverse working
professionals and future IT leaders in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
and all digital technology fields. For more than 40 years, BDPA enabled the upward mobility for
people, who are at risk with low to moderate income and r
eside in disenfranchised
communities, in the Information Technology (IT) and STEM fields. Our purpose is to serve, elevate, and train students (middle /high school) and young adults (18-
28 ages) in or out of school, and non violent ex offenders, who live in disenfranchised
communities for the many Information Technology job opportunities, while building a talented
and diverse group of people in the most creative and innovative IT workforce communities in
the rural communities in Louisiana and the capacity to expand to other states. BDPA provides access to accredited Industry Certifications to ensure a strong, skilled, trained, and experienced IT workforce that provides jobs for students whose desire is not to pursue a college degree.
