WEEKLY WEDNESDAY UPDATES FROM YCV
Dear Friends,
NC ballots are still being finalized. What we know for sure is that early voting starts in NC in less than 90 days and we have more voters to empower!
Here's where things stand as of Wednesday, July 24, 2024:
Absentee ballot mailout starts in 44 days
Regular voter registration ends in 79 days
Early Voting starts in 85 days and ends in 101 days
Absentee requests are due in 97 days (but submit them ASAP!)
And Election Day is in 104 days

With the voter registration deadline less than 3 months away, make sure you know the latest NC voting rules to !
We're holding a special in-person training in Raleigh on Saturday, July 27, at 10:30am at the Woman's Club of Raleigh off Glenwood Ave. This workshop will cover all the information from our Zoom trainings, but in a more interactive way. Thanks to the Woman's Club of Raleigh for hosting us!

All YCV trainings are free and open to the public. Attending a YCV Voter Empowerment Training gives you all the info you need to educate, register, and empower voters in 2024. It's like a booster shot to stop the spread of misinformation in our community!
Poll workers are still needed! Almost every county in NC is in need of poll workers for the 2024 General Elections. Be a democracy hero PLUS get paid for your service!
The need is especially high in Alexander, Anson, Buncombe, Carteret, Cumberland, Dare, Davie, Duplin, Durham, Forsyth, Gaston, Haywood, Lenoir, Martin, Mecklenburg, Moore, New Hanover, Onslow, Perquimans, Pitt, Randolph, Richmond, Robeson, Rockingham, Stanly, Surry, Swain, Transylvania, Wake, Watauga, Yadkin, and Yancey counties. If you are a registered voter in one of these counties and are tech/computer literate, please sign up today!
