Help us plant more trees!!!

Over the past two seasons, volunteers have planted over 1300 trees along the trail.... and this year we would like to keep adding to that number!!!

Our ask:

1) Consider donating money to purchase trees and supports! A $5.00 donation plants 1 tree along the trail. Donations can be given online (https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/help-us-plant-more-trees), mailed to Friends of Red Rock Prairie Trail or drop your pop cans off at Monroe Redemption Center (mention they are for Red Rock Prairie Trail)

2) Volunteer your time to help plant trees!! We are planning on planting the next trees on November 15, 16, 22 and 23 and could use help putting the next group into the ground! More details and sign up information here: https://volunteeriowa.galaxydigital.com/need/detail/?need_id=1154829

We estimate that we will need 7,000 trees to provide a better trail environment.... we are on the way, but need YOUR help!

Interested in becoming a member of Friends of Red Rock Prairie Trail?

With the help of our members, we’ve been able to plant hundreds of trees, design and purchase trail signs and start planning fundraising and grant opportunities for the next phases.

We’ve also enjoyed the annual Tour de Pumpkin ride and the restarted Pedal the Prairie ride with you and hope you have, too.

And now that we have our non-profit status finalized, we have even bigger plans for this year. However, we need your help to make it happen!

Don't forget, as part of your yearly membership, we invite you to participate in our annual meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 17 @ 6pm, Monroe City Hall. The annual meeting gives us an opportunity to share the previous year's activities and fundraising and create plans together for future events and fundraising. Additionally, as a member of the Friends of Red Rock Prairie Trail you will be voting to fill four board member positions.
