Sky Valley Food Bank "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" Established in 1976 to provide food to those in need, preserving the dignity of those we help.

Our Shopping distributions are Tuesdays from 2:30pm-5:00pm, and Thursdays from 9:00am-11:00am, by appointment only. You can make an appointment a week in advance by visiting our website: www.svfoodbank.org and clicking "Find Food."

Today, most of our team had the opportunity to visit Hopelink Food Bank in Kirkland!

A special thank you to Amanda and Zach for welcoming us, giving us a tour, and sharing how they serve and support their communities.

We believe there is always room to learn, grow, and improve. Visiting other food banks gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas, gain fresh perspectives, and explore new ways to make our Market the very best it can be for the families we serve.

We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated team, the volunteers who bring our mission to life, and the generous community that makes our work possible.

At the end of the day, we all share the same goal: fighting hunger and strengthening our communities.

Days like today remind us just how meaningful this work truly is!

We’ve been getting lots of questions lately asking, “What does The Market need most right now?”

We LOVE that you’re asking! To make things easy, we’re sharing our current needs here and on our website so you can reference the list anytime.

Our community is truly what keeps The Market stocked and ready to serve our neighbors. Your donations make an incredible difference, and we are so grateful for every item that comes through our doors.

Right now, we’re seeing a significant increase in families visiting us for the very first time—and with the holidays quickly approaching, we anticipate those numbers will continue to grow.

The boss has been suspiciously quiet in his office… which usually means he’s up to something.

When he stepped away from his desk, I may have done a little investigating. Turns out, he’s already planning our holiday food purchases! 🦃

It may only be September, but the holidays will be here before we know it. With food costs continuing to stretch budgets, we’re preparing now to make sure our neighbors facing food insecurity can enjoy a special holiday meal with their families.

And we need your help.

💵 Make a monetary donation. Your dollars go further when you donate directly to Sky Valley Food Bank. We’re able to purchase many of our most-needed holiday foods in bulk from distributors, allowing us to stretch every dollar and serve more families.

🥫 Host a food drive. We’ll provide the donation barrel and a list of our most-needed holiday items. Gather your workplace, neighborhood, school, church, club, friends, or family and help us fill it!

Everyone deserves the dignity of gathering around the table and enjoying a holiday meal. No one in our community should feel like they deserve anything less.

Our holiday planning has already begun, and your support today will help us make this year’s distribution a success.
