The luggage donation today went to The Community Shelter of Union County again. We were told that there’s a need for luggage for families to travel from the shelter to their new, safe homes. It’s an honor and a privilege to deliver something that may be small to some but extremely meaningful to others.

We are so pleased to continue to assist in providing luggage and bags for neighborhood organizations that are committed to serving families in transition.

This week, we had the privilege of delivering to Community Shelter of Union County. As people leave the shelter and go to their new homes, they deserve to do so with dignity.

We’re so thankful for all that continue to donate to our mission. We’re happy to meet you, or come to pick up gently used luggage and bags so that we can distribute them to our community partners.

From Our Heart to Your Home.

The suitcases found a home today at Turning Point in Monroe today! They will accompany new owners as they transition to safe, secure new beginnings.

Turning Point exists to end domestic abuse, sexual assault, and child abuse through safe shelter, advocacy, prevention, and social change.

Donations either go directly to the women and children starting their lives over or to the Second Chance boutique. 100% of the profits from the boutique go towards supporting the women,s shelter.

A couple of weeks ago, we were able to deliver luggage that was donated by Monroe Rotary Club to the Union County Department of Social Services. We wanted to provide luggage to children who are in foster care. Often, these children are carrying their belongings in trash bags during a time that is already stressful, scary, and confusing. One simple act of kindness can go a long way in providing comfort and dignity.

From this....a beautiful thing happened. Several people saw what was done and wanted to give. Mike and I have collected more than 30 bags to share with those who need them. Reach out to us if we can be of service.

It is the purpose of Our Heart Your Home to serve the community. Home is where the heart is.
