It is managed by a volunteer board of directors. It is funded by individual donations and grants. The organization has been created to fill a void in the community and serve as a place for socialization and also as an emergency site for Senior Citizens and all members of surrounding rural and Monroe area. To engage the community of Monroe Gathering Place by empowering older adults and their caregivers to live life to their fullest potential. The Center will enable gathering with friends and the opportunity to participate in planned activities. It will also provide a versatile and accessible location for our community members to rent for private functions. The Center will continually identify and assess the changing needs and resources of the community of Monroe, modifying its programs accordingly to meet the needs of its community and seniors in the best possible ways.
