💜 International Overdose Awareness Day | August 31 💜

Today, we remember.

We remember the lives lost to overdose. We honor the families and friends who carry their memory. We stand beside those who have survived, and we celebrate every person who has found a pathway to recovery.

Behind every number is a name, a story, a family, and a life that mattered.

International Overdose Awareness Day is also a reminder that overdose is preventable. Education matters. Connection matters. Compassion matters. Naloxone saves lives.

At Walton Empowers, we believe no one should have to face addiction, grief, or recovery alone. We will continue working to reduce stigma, increase access to lifesaving resources, and remind our community that recovery is real and hope is possible.

Today, we wear purple for those we have lost, for those still struggling, for those who survived, and for every family forever changed by overdose. 💜
