Our Kids Book Club had such a fun first meeting! 📚

Introductions where made and The first book was handed out .. if you couldn't make the first meeting and would still like to participate, stop by anytime to pick up a copy of the book and start reading along with us.
Kids book club (ages 9 to 12) will gather again for their second meeting on July 13th at 4:00 PM. We can't wait to hear what everyone thinks of the story!

What a great way to kick off summer with a great book and great friends. 📖☀️

Reserve An Adventure Pass

Passes are available for city of Monroe residents only on a first-come, first-served basis and may be reserved up to 60 days in advance by cardholders 18 and older. Cards must be unexpired.

The institution will verify that your ID matches the name on the reservation.
Passes can be printed or downloaded to an Apple or Google Wallet. You may also show the email confirmation at the venue.
Passes must be printed to visit Reiman Gardens.
Pass confirmations must be redeemed at the Civic Center Box office no later than 45 minutes before the performance to use the Des Moines Performing Arts tickets.
Passes may be reserved one time per calendar year for each location. (i.e. one time in 2026, one time in 2027)
To cancel a reservation, please call the library prior to closing the day before your visit.
Passes cannot be used for admission to special events. (i.e. Zoo Brew, Nature at Night)
Admission eligibility:

Blank Park Zoo, Science Center of Iowa,Des Moines Children's Museum: admission for up to 4 people over the age of 1. (No charge for infants under 1 year old.)
Reiman Gardens: admission for up to 6 people (2 adults and up to 4 children in the same household)
Des Moines Performing Arts: up to 8 tickets to one of the three Wellmark Family Series performances only. Pass confirmations must be redeemed at the Civic Center box office no later than 45 minutes before the performance.
Museum of Danish America: admission for up to 4 people.
