๐ The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge rededication ceremony was beautiful. Thank you MoCo NAACP President William Parker for presenting at City Council along with Good Trouble Monroe, CommUNITY Activists, NAACP VP Eliot James, Pastor Johnson (2nd Missionary Baptist Church) & many Residents to get this crumbling bridge restored...
This bridge has a lot of significance:
1. It symbolizes connection & unity
2. It runs thru the heart of Downtown Monroe
3. No matter what's going on around it, the bridge stands strong: like us!..
โฎ๏ธ Dr. King would be proud of how we put UNITY in CommUNITY on the 60th anniversary of the day he received a Nobel Peace Prize.
