Last week, members of our LOQW team attended the DMH Tiered Supports conference.

Continuous learning and positive support strategies are at the heart of what we do. Our team had a wonderful time gaining new insights and connecting with fellow leaders across the state to help empower the individuals we support every day.

Please join us in celebrating Laura on her 5-year work anniversary with Learning Opportunities/Quality Works!

Laura serves as our Lead Staff at the Hub in our Monroe City office, where she has dedicated the past five years to supporting the individuals we serve. Laura does a wonderful job encouraging independence, building confidence, and helping individuals become more involved and connected within their community. Her dedication, dependability, and willingness to support both the individuals and her coworkers make her an important part of our team.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She loves getting outdoors, going kayaking, and enjoying outings and adventures with her friends. Laura also enjoys gardening and making the most of her time outside.

Thank you, Laura, for five years of dedication, compassion, and commitment to the individuals we serve and to our team. We are grateful to have you as part of the Learning Opportunities/Quality Works family!

This week, the Freedom Tribute Wall made its way to Hannibal, giving several the opportunity to visit, take it in, and honor the stories of those who have served our country. 🇺🇸

This powerful traveling memorial honors the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. We’re grateful for the opportunity to pause, reflect, and remember the tremendous price of freedom.

Thank you to all of our veterans and active-duty service members for your dedication and sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙

We were proud to have Caitlin Kendrick, our Lead Support Broker, represent LOQW this week at Leading Change: The Participant Directed Advocacy Forum (2026 PDAG Conference) in Atlanta, Georgia!

Caitlin had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion focused on best practices and the sustainability of participant-directed services, sharing her knowledge and experience from here in Missouri alongside other advocates and professionals in the field.

We’re incredibly proud of Caitlin for sharing her expertise, representing LOQW and Missouri, and contributing to conversations that help strengthen participant-directed services.

MEET SHAUN ❤️

If you’ve been around Finn’s in the mornings, chances are you already know our buddy Shaun.

Shaun has been working with us for over a year now, helping sweep the sidewalk, take down those pesky cobwebs, and tackling whatever other jobs we need assistance with, usually while providing a little live music of his own. Think Gospel meets Thriller.
A few important things to know about Shaun:

He LOVES our cheeseburgers.
He’s a huge Michael Jackson fan.
And when it comes to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson… HUGE fan might be an understatement.

Hence today’s very special to-go box

But what we love most is simply Shaun being Shaun. He brings smiles, laughter, music and a whole lot of joy through our doors every week.
