Join the Hub and representatives from Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) on February 19th for an engaging information session that will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to develop and refine a competitive application to DCNR’s C2P2 program. You will also gain practical insights and advice from recent local government awardees.

If you are planning to submit an application to DCNR this spring, this session will help clarify questions and supercharge your proposal. For others, join us to get a head start on future applications and learn strategies that will benefit any grant application.

It can sometimes be overwhelming trying to navigate the various tools, databases, reports, and other resources that may help develop and refine your project. The Hub has recently launched a Resource Library, featuring curated content from regional, state, and national sources. The Library is a living resource, so please reach out to us if you have anything you would like to add!

Check it out:

With so much information available, it can be overwhelming to even know where to start. To save you some time, the Hub developed a curated but comprehensive resource library to provide a one-stop clearinghouse of free resources to help you develop your projects.

This morning, Sustainable Pittsburgh, represented by John Ukenye and Rebecca Bykoski, had the pleasure of attending the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s Municipal Leaders Breakfast. We are excited to engage with local businesses and governments to support the growth of the region's expanding sustainable economy.

It was great to connect with Andy Walz, Township Manager of North Strabane Township, and Emily Brown from the SWPA Municipal Project Hub as we continue working together to forge a better future for all.

Our work in service of SWPA communities would not be possible without the strategic guidance of our Hub Advisory Council. Comprised of local, regional, statewide, and national individuals who represent various sectors and issue areas, our Advisory Council members provide invaluable insights on how we can best support projects and ensure broader alignment within the region.

Last week, the Hub hosted its first Rapid Readiness Workshop for communities in the Mid Mon Valley region. The day was filled with engaging activities to help community leaders generate project ideas, evaluate their projects’ readiness for investment, and start to brainstorm action steps to further develop them. Thank you to the dozens of municipal, county, and nonprofit leaders who participated!

The workshop would not have been possible without the partnerships and expertise from the .alliance, PA DCED, Fourth Economy, , , Washington County Authority, , Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance, , National Road Heritage Corridor, Wesbanco, FHLB, and .

Congratulations to our Director of Research Sarah SanGiovanni, PhD for being one of 60 civic leaders selected for the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy Vibrant Communities Fellows Program this year!

“The Hub helps hard-working, capacity-strapped community leaders across our region manage and fund development projects that support quality of life, resilience, and opportunity for all. Connecting theory and research to hands-on services and resources is a crucial part of this work. Through the Lincoln Vibrant Communities Program, I look forward to learning about best practices that can amplify our impact on the ground,” Sarah says.
