We had a great turnout at our May Beef Month meal. We’d like to thank Jim and Greta Donlon for donating toward this event, as well as the MFL MarMac kitchen staff for their help.

Congrats to Brooke and Briella for competing in district agronomy today, and Emma, Ashtyn, Olive, and Makenzie for competing in district floriculture! It was a great day!

We had such a busy day at the blood drive that this is the only picture we captured!

We collected 49 units, enough to save 147 lives. Thank you to all our donors!

Congratulations, Caleb!

MFL MarMac senior Caleb Zuercher is the 2026 Stars Over Iowa winner. The award is the highest honor in the Iowa FFA and marks Zuercher as one of the state’s top ag education students and FFA members.

Zuercher is proud of the achievement and said it’s a testament to his hard work. “I didn’t take the easy route, and I think that will carry with me in life. You know, you can’t just always take the easy way. And I hope other kids and students see that too.”

Our Horticulture class and FFA chapter will host their student-run sale in the high school greenhouse:

Saturday, May 9 | 8:00 AM–Noon

You’ll find a great selection of hanging baskets, tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and other vegetables, all grown and cared for by our students.

Stop by, support their work, and take something home for your garden.

Gage Paulus, Jaxon Lamborn, Rial Carlson, Quentin Torkelson, and Kase Paulus competed in the district ag mechanics contest yesterday at NICC. They were evaluated on welding, engine ID, wiring, and diagnostic repairs. We’re proud of them for trying something new!
