This is a public page to share our events, accomplishments, volunteering, and fundraisers. BSA programs are divided by age and activity: Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade, Scouts BSA is open to young men and women in grades 6 through 12. Cub Scouting (Kindergarten - 5th grade )
Cub Scouting provides scouts with a program of communication, education, achievement,

and fun that involves the parent and family. The program also gives the scout weekly involvement with the small peer-group led by an adult. BSA Scouting (grades 6- 12)
This program involves the scout more heavily in small peer group dynamics with the adult-role model becoming more significant. The program revolves around leadership opportunity; decision-making; hiking; camping; and personal achievement. The scout is exposed to over 120 hobby and career choices, frequently resulting in life-long involvement.

Tonight was our Scout Kick Off Night. We played games like Bocce Ball, Spike Ball, washers, and kick ball. Ice cream sandwiches tasted great to start oft the year. Looking forward to a great year of scouting!

August 14-16 the scouts had their annual canoe and camping trip on the Wisconsin River. Friday night we camped at the Sauk Prairie VFW and the leaders dropped the cars in Arena while the scouts fished. On Saturday morning, we had pancakes for breakfast and began our paddle. After playing football on sandbars and a lunch break, we paddled on and found a sandbar to pitch out tents on. Hot dogs and mac and cheese tasted great by the river but the best part was the apple cobbler done in the dutch oven. We rounded out the night with fishing, an evening swim, star gazing, and sitting by the fire. Sunday we paddled to Arena where we had to portage all of our gear and the canoes to the boat landing. Big thanks to the leaders who made this trip possible. It was one that we would love to do again!

We wrapped up another fantastic week at Tomahawk Scout Reservation for scout camp, where we encountered some swimmer's itch but still managed to have a great time, and I'm proud of the group for their resilience. Tomahawk Scout Reservation
