My Brother..My Hero

This section is supposed to help describe our “business”, however we truly are anything but a business. For those of you that knew Nick know the kind of person he was, activities he enjoyed and that he was a very laid back guy that loved to have fun. Let’s pretend for a minute that regardless of whether you did or did not know Nick, that you are about to learn of him for the first time. Nicholas A Brletic was born in August of 1991 at Jasper County hospital in the earlier part of the day. That last part is irony at it’s finest because Nick was not a morning person, at all, ever in his life. For the first part of his life Nick grew up it in Kentland, IN which is a very small community with nothing to do for kids but sports. Nick was never an athlete and would rather have been in the stands cheering his friends on with a painted face, shirtless, losing his voice from yelling so loud. Nick’s passion was always music and that started when he was just a baby. Nick and I’s mom introduced us to music when we were just babies to help us fall asleep. Something that was just second nature to her helped shape, mold, influence, motivate and quite literally change both of our lives forever. Nicks love for music led him to being in band in school, learning to play the guitar and then eventually playing bass with I Scream For Ice Cream. His appreciation/passion for music led him to living out a dream with some of his closest friends. That is something that most people of any age can’t say. Very few live out their dream and go after their passion the way they did. When it comes to handing out the scholarships for the “Nicholas A. Brletic Foundation” we look for those that stand out. That have gone the extra mile not because it was the “cool” thing to do but because it was following their dream. For anyone that may read this, dreams are where passion starts, passion is what ideas come from, ideas are where solutions are solved and solutions have the power to change lives. Live each day, stay true to your passion and never turn your back on your dreams. Your dream could change lives someday.
