From learning the basics of firearm safety to hands-on range time, you all showed incredible enthusiasm, responsibility, and confidence. Your participation helps build a stronger, more informed community of safe and skilled shooters.

We hope this is just the beginning of your journey in the shooting sports! A huge thank you to our instructors and volunteers who made the day possible, and to the Monmouth-area residents who continue to support our mission.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, let us take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who never made it home.

From all of us at Monmouth Fish & Game, thank you to our fallen heroes and their families for their sacrifice and service.

The Monmouth Fish & Game Association extends its sincere gratitude to Mark Burgess for his dedicated service as President. Over the past years, Mark has given his time, leadership, and passion to help guide the club forward and strengthen our community.

His commitment has played an important role in maintaining the traditions of the club while also helping it grow and adapt for the future. We are thankful for the many hours he has invested and the positive impact he has made on both the organization and its members.

After years of research, innovation, and a little bit of gravity-defying determination… we are proud to officially introduce a revolutionary new shooting position:

💥 The “Floating Prone” 💥

This advanced technique allows shooters to achieve maximum stability while appearing to completely defy physics. Early testing shows improved sight alignment, enhanced core engagement, cleaner pants, and—most importantly—confusion among onlookers.

We are currently in the process of trademarking the Floating Prone™, so please refrain from attempting it without proper supervision.

In related news, the Department of War has reportedly reached out for more information… and has already given it their own name: “The Floating Drone.” We’re still deciding if we return the call!

Instructional clinics coming soon… maybe.

Congratulations to all the students who completed the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Hunter Safety Course this past Saturday at Monmouth Fish & Game Association!
