Break The Cycle Bike Shop Break the Cycle Bike Shop is an earn a bike program at the 1st Street Armoury in Monmouth, IL. Ran by volunteers and supported by donations.

We are looking for used bikes, parts, volunteers, and monetary donations for parts and supplies. We are a earn a bike program. Simply put a child enters our program picks out a bike, and over the weeks after will work earning points to be able to take the bike home. Throughout the process they will be spending time with our mechanic/mentors, taking pride in the jobs they have done in the shop and

around their community. Through the process they will learn how to work on their bike by tearing it down and making it road worthy again. Upon completion they will have earned a bike, bike lock, and a helmet.
