Our programs include:
Senior Nutrition meals for people 60 and older living in Warren, Henderson and Mercer Counties, funded primarily through Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging, with additional funding provided from Warren County United Way, participant donations and JCC funds. Food Pantries for Warren County residents supported by the community. Diapers, Period Supplies and Incontinence products courtesy of Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank. Shelf-stable Weekend Meals for students in MR District 238 funded by Twomey Foundation, Warren County United Way, and Illinois Charitable Trust. JCC Thrift Store with low prices, great quality and unique finds supported by local donations. Emergency help with bills for Warren and Henderson County families sponsored by Twomey Foundation, Warren County Ministerial Fund and area churches. Pattee Learning Center offers free tutoring for Warren County children in 1st through 6th grade. school supplies for Warren County students in K through 8th grades sponsored by Community National Bank. Christmas Store/Angel Tree/Christmas Baskets for Warren County families provided with JCC funds and community support. Volunteers, monetary donations, and in-kind donations are always welcome!! More Than Meals. A Chance to Thrive.

When students have reliable access to food over the weekend, it means more than having something to eat. It supports their health, helps them concentrate and learn, and gives them a better chance to arrive at school ready to succeed.

Our Weekend Meals program helps bridge the gap when school is out, ensuring students have food to enjoy on Saturdays and Sundays.

A big thank-you to Immaculate Conception Church for returning for a second time to volunteer and help pack meals for students! We appreciate your continued support in helping students get the nourishment they need to learn, grow and thrive.

Unexpected expenses can throw off your budget. Jingle Bills offers a little breathing room when water bills or prescription costs add up.

Available to Warren and Henderson County residents, Jingle Bills covers half the cost of eligible expenses (up to $50) with assistance available twice in a 12-month period. Water bill assistance is available before service is shut off.

We are now accepting applications for JCC’s Christmas Baskets and Community Christmas Store.

Christmas Baskets provide food for a special holiday meal, while the Community Christmas Store gives parents and guardians the opportunity to shop for their children, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community.

Thoughtfully planned. Packed with purpose.

There’s more thought behind a Weekend Meal than simply putting food in a bag. Our Weekend Meals follow a rotating menu, so children receive different meals from week to week. Once we reach the end of the rotation, we start back at Week One, bringing a little variety to the six shelf-stable meals students receive each Friday for the weekend.

Today, Immaculate Conception Church volunteers packaged meals for Monmouth-Roseville at-risk children. In less than an hour, their time made it possible to provide meals for students to enjoy over the weekend. We’re grateful for their time and for the many community groups who make this program possible, one Wednesday at a time.

December dates are still available for groups of 4–6 people. Once those dates are filled, we’ll post volunteer dates for January through May.

Jamieson Community Center is pleased to make a blood pressure monitor available to our community through a sponsorship with the American Heart Association.

Checking your blood pressure is one way to stay informed about an important indicator of heart health. The monitor provides a convenient way to check your blood pressure, but it should not replace regular visits with your healthcare provider.

One hour. 78 students. 468 meals. And a big impact!

Just over a week ago, we put out a call for groups and organizations to volunteer their time to package Weekend Meals for Monmouth-Roseville students. Americold Logistics answered that call, and a team of four packaged enough meals for 76 students to have three meals on Saturday and Sunday.

All in less than an hour.

Thank you, Americold, for giving your time and making a difference for local students! We’re grateful for community groups like yours that make this program possible.

As the seasons change, nutritious meals remain an important part of staying healthy and independent. Jamieson Community Center’s Senior Nutrition Program provides nutritious meals to people 60 and older in Henderson, Mercer, and Warren Counties, helping address food security while creating opportunities to connect with others. Congregate and home-delivered meals are available.
