The Bible shows broken people. So why doesn’t the church?

Real talk from Scripture: David, Job, Jeremiah, Peter, Paul… none of them pretended.

• If the Bible doesn’t hide it, neither should we
• You can attend church forever and still miss Jesus
• The “safe place” Jesus wants is where you can say: I’m struggling
• Healing starts when hiding ends

Drop one honest sentence you wish you could say in church.

Good morning and thank you for joining us for church today. We’re going to do something today that I think the CHURCH sh...

Good morning and thank you for joining us for church today. We’re going to do something today that I think the CHURCH should do… ask the question “What is the church that JESUS wants?”

In Joshua 2, Rahab’s story shows what happens when belief turns into action. Real faith costs something, and that’s where it gets uncomfortable.

• Faith isn’t proven by what you say, but by what you do
• Belief that never changes your life is still just belief
• God doesn’t just forgive past mistakes, He re-routes your future
• At some point you have to choose: trust God with your life or don’t
• Real faith creates movement, not stillness

Where do you need to stop standing still and take the next step of trust?

What if we stopped being divided long enough to pray together?

You can be “better” and still not be saved.

Salvation isn’t a reward for cleaning up your life. It’s grace through Jesus.

• Church attendance doesn’t buy salvation.
• Quitting sin can change you, but it doesn’t pay for grace.
• Your past doesn’t get the final word.
• Grace means you don’t have to pretend you’re brand new.
• Ephesians 2: saved by grace, not by works.

Be honest: what are you tempted to use as “proof” you deserve it?

The narrow road isn't always easy, but it leads somewhere worth going. Matthew 7:13–14.

Romans 3:23 says everyone has sinned and fallen short. So why do we still act like only “some” people are broken? In this message, we look at Rahab and the idea that God doesn’t let your past have the final word.

• Stop ranking sin: Scripture says every person needs grace
• Pretending is exhausting and it blocks real healing
• Your past might be public or private, but grace is for all
• Rahab’s messy story is left unpolished on purpose
• God’s involvement means past does not get the last word

What part of “pretending” do you want to lay down this week? Drop it in the comments.
