Today is four years since Sammy passed. Never to be forgotten - a small gathering will be held at his cross at 8pm and then back to the house for remembrances. May God bless us all!!!

Hard to believe that it is two years since Sammy passed. An anniversary of a loved ones death is always tough. It can open old wounds and rekindle memories that we haven’t thought about for a long time.

The pain never fully goes and is often at it’s rawest and most vivid on days like anniversaries. But while for some it’s a day that brings back unwanted grief, for others it’s a chance to celebrate someone’s passing.

My grief, my pain, my joy of remembrance is always acute, my son lives inside of me every moment of every day!!!

Something Sammy would have said to all - he reminds me every day:

Speak of me as you have always done.
Remember the good times, laughter, and fun.

Share the happy memories we've made.
Do not let them wither or fade.

I'll be with you in the summer's sun
And when the winter's chill has come.

I'll be the voice that whispers in the breeze.
I'm peaceful now, put your mind at ease.

I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep,
But memories we've shared are yours to keep.

Sometimes our final days may be a test,
But remember me when I was at my best.

Although things may not be the same,
Don't be afraid to use my name.

Let your sorrow last for just a while.
Comfort each other and try to smile.

I've lived a life filled with joy and fun.
Live on now, make me proud of what you'll become.

Today marks the one year anniversary of when Sammy passed away - words fail and can never convey what the heart so painfully feels. The saddest moment is when the person who gave you the best memories, becomes a memory You never stop loving someone, you just learn to live without them. Remembering Sammy is easy I do it all day, every day. Missing Sammy is heartache that never goes away. Grief is the last act of love we can give to those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there was great love. When we speak his name and share our memories, we keep Sammy alive in all of us.

There will be a candlelight vigil at Sammy's cross tonight at 10 PM - all are welcome to join - many will be at the house earlier - God Bless You All! ❤❤❤

Although our loved ones have gone, their memory remains. And as much as that memory remains a part of you, the memory and your loved ones remains alive.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us, as we remember them. Only love gives us a taste of eternity. The only truly dead are those who have been forgotten. Our solemn vow is they are -

MATURITY; Recognize and admit, when you’re wrong
It’s far easier to get defensive and deny responsibility, or become overwhelmed with shame for our act of imperfection or ignorance. Being able to acknowledge when we’re in the wrong takes humility, self-compassion and courage. We are all imperfect, let's be kinder and gentler to others and ourselves! ❤🙏 Please share this post and view our website at www.I-AM-SAM.ORG ❤ .
