(1)

Senior Citizens Activities Network is a non-profit organization and has been Keeping Seniors Active, Healthy, and Connected Since 1988. SCAN is located in the eastern portion of Monmouth County, NJ. Ocean and Monmouth Counties are home to the second largest number of senior citizens in the USA -- second only to Florida. Our membership reflects the active lifestyle, vibrancy, and social networking

strength of our organization. We know that education, community resources, and technology can be effectively combined to create an enriched, engaging social environment where older adults will continue to grow intellectually as well as physically and emotionally. Our programs create the opportunity for adults aged 55+ to thrive and help them sustain their independence, health, and happiness. At our Monmouth Mall Hub, SCAN offers three 13-week semesters of educational and inspiring classes that include art, literature, technology, yoga, tai chi, music, TV production, and much more. The Mall location also features special events and workshops, as well as a SHIP counselor who provides Medicare consultations. SCAN in the Community
SCAN brings high impact programs, providing socialization, recreation, education, and technology opportunities, to seniors in their own communities in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Baseball season is in full swing now, and we are fortunate to have the Jersey Shore BlueClaws in our area. Joel Podos, Ticket Membership Manager, shared information on the various theme nights, fireworks, Bark in the Park, and more. There are always tickets at the ShoreTown Ballpark, so go out with your family and enjoy a game this season.
