In 1871, long before Bigfoot became a pop-culture phenomenon, people in Pennsylvania were telling stories about a mysterious Hairy man roaming the mountains. The Hairy man was described as being completely covered in hair, and according to stories, he could climb tall trees with ease, he would frighten children, tormented live stock and managed to escape every attempt to capture him.
