One cyclist wrote, "This ride was amazing! Beautiful scenery, very well-marked routes, excellent maps, great start and end environment, amazing food!" Another biker said, "Beautiful route, food everywhere! You nailed it!"
Two route choices: 28 and 59 miles... For our 7th annual Embrace the Hills, ride at your own pace through the Loess Hills of Western Iowa. Our 28-mile route (same route as past years) has mild hills and is very do-able for even the beginner cyclist. The experienced cyclist will find challenges on this route, too. After the 28 miles (and snacks and lunch, etc.) cyclists are invited to continue the ride with an additional 31 miles of more challenging hills. FREE delicious meals and snacks available from start to finish (at the Mondamin Community Center in Mondamin) and pocket-able proteins available at each rest stop. This fully-supported ride includes SAG wagon and on-site bike mechanic at the Mondamin Community Center. Registration will open at 8:00 a.m., and the ride officially starts at 9:00 a.m. However, cyclists may begin their ride at any time. Staff will be available from 8:00 a.m. until the last cyclist arrives back at the Mondamin Community Center.
