April 2026 Meeting
Tonight we welcomed Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputies Ronnie Russell and Sam Jasper along with GERY and PRIMA.
The 23rd Annual Josh Swicord Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Berkeley Country Club (See Attached Photo).

Great things are happening in The Moncks Corner Lions club. We inducted two new members. We welcome Brad Browder and Craig Mims Jr to the club. Our speaker was Steve Meyer with SCDNR. He gave a great speech about the fish population in the Santee Cooper Lakes system. Save the date the Josh Swicord Golf Tournament May 28, 2026.

A very busy February meeting for Moncks Corner Lions Club. Lion Rawlins Lowndes received an award for generous support of vision services. We also inducted new member Steve Gaskins. The guest speaker tonight was Debby Dial Holtsclaw with the Berkeley Historical Society.

Since 2010, the Southern Barbecue Network has sanctioned barbecue tournaments to further their goal of preserving a Southern tradition by providing well-trained judges to contests that are raising money for charitable causes in the Carolinas.

We are so excited about the 29th Annual Berkeley Barbeque Cookoff on November 7-8 sponsored by the Moncks Corner Lions Club and the Southern BBQ Network! It will be held at the Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex at 418 East Main Street in Moncks Corner. BBQ is $10 a pound, $40 for a whole pork butt. Chopped BBQ can be picked up midmorning on Saturday the 8th. Whole pork butts can be picked up starting at 5PM. ATTENTION, All kids that like helping dad on the barbecue grill. Here is your chance to show off your skills as a BBQ Pit Master. Southern BBQ Network is having a BBQ competition just for kids. The event take place on November 7th at the Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex at 418 East Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. There is NO entry fee and meat is provided. There are two groups, Juniors from ages 6 to 10 and Seniors from 11 to 16. Juniors prepare entries with ground beef and Seniors prepare pork tenderloins. Judging by certified SBN judges. There are trophies for top three , and gifts for all contestants.
