The Monahans Rotary Club was excited to welcome Head Coach Tracie Porras, along with Estrella Porras and Taryn Griner, representing the Monahans Lady Lobo Volleyball program as this week’s guest speakers! 💚🏐

They told us all about the Lady Loboes game schedule, the work the team has been putting in, and their goals and expectations for the upcoming season. It was great hearing about the dedication, teamwork, and determination these athletes and coaches bring to the court.

We wish the Lady Loboes a successful season and look forward to cheering them on!🐺

The Monahans Rotary Club was pleased to welcome Jessica Smith, owner of The Cookie Runner, as our guest speaker last week.

Jessica shared the story of how she turned her passion for baking into a local business, explaining the journey of building her business. She also highlighted the unique details and creativity that go into each of her custom cookies, making them perfect for birthdays, holidays, weddings, and special events.

She wrapped up her presentation by sharing how community members can order locally and support her growing business.

Thank you, Jessica, for sharing your entrepreneurial journey and inspiring our members. We appreciate your dedication to serving our community and wish you continued success!

We enjoyed seeing all the kids (and adults!) participate in the Rotary Games!
Water balloon toss, three legged race, and watermelon eating contest are always a hit.
We are grateful to give back to our community this way. Its what Rotary is all about!

Rotary club hosted the Wedges and Mallets par 3 challenge tournament this father's day weekend!!

Rotary club welcomed members of the Monahans Police department at yesterday's meeting. Officers spoke about the grant they received for the Click it or Ticket campaign.

The Monahans Rotary Club welcomed this year’s Monahans High School Valedictorian and Salutatorian as our guest speakers this week.

Valedictorian, Rylee Sides introduced herself and shared her plans to attend The University of Texas at San Antonio to major in Biology. Rylee was also awarded the prestigious Terry Scholarship.

Salutatorian, C**t Beckham introduced himself and shared his plans to attend Southern Arkansas University on a golf scholarship, where he will major in Finance.

We are proud of these outstanding students and their accomplishments. Congratulations on your graduation, we wish you both the very best as you begin your college journeys and exciting futures ahead!

The Monahans Rotary Club welcomed Beau Harris, Assistant City Manager and newly elected District 1 Board Member for the Monahans-Wickett-Pyote Independent School District, as this week’s guest speaker.

Beau shared his background and roots from Grandfalls, along with his desire to coach and work through education. He spoke about his overall 27 years in education and his desire to be a strong voice for the students, staff, and community of MWPISD in his new role.

Beau will officially be sworn in on June 1st during a special meeting for the school district. We appreciate him taking the time to visit Rotary and wish him the best in this new leadership role serving our community.

The Monahans Rotary Club welcomed this year’s Miss Monahans contestants as our weekly program guests.

Accompanied by Lynda Linton, the contestants introduced themselves to the club, shared the activities and organizations they are involved in, and spoke about their outlook and experience participating in the Miss Monahans Pageant.

It was great hearing from these young ladies and learning more about their goals, leadership, and community involvement. We appreciate them taking the time to visit Rotary and wish each contestant the very best in the upcoming pageant!💚
