Bottoms Up Foundation

Bottoms Up Foundation Bottoms Up Foundation The Bottoms Up Foundation is a non-for-profit foundation formed late this year to help families in need; literally from the Bottoms Up.

The foundations first initiative is to provide diapers, wipes and formula to families struggling within our communities due to circumstances beyond their control. There are many that do not qualify for the state programs yet children’s' needs do not change. Donations will be distributed to several social service agencies, recommendations and applicants of need. This effort will help raise sponsors

hips and grants. An additional initiative is to get children out from behind video games and involved in their communities. Children are our future and we cannot wait for the government to 'fix' all that is wrong. People are losing their jobs, their homes, their pride. Many struck by illness and tragic devastation. The foundation believes that we can all help each other. Everyone brings some talent to the table. If we can all pull together as a community in tragic times, why can’t we do it all the time? Together we can do great things but it starts from the Bottoms Up. Our desire is to grow as a resource center where members of the community can come in and work on a resume, search for jobs, exchange coupons, serve within the community, etc. The kids will be recycling, visiting homes (nursing and care centers), cleaning garages, river and community cleanups, shoveling snow, shopping, etc in exchange for donations, grants and sponsorships to continue their efforts. Children in the community will then have an opportunity to 'earn' credits within the foundation to help pay for sports registrations, uniforms, etc. The list goes on and will continue to grow. Currently the Bottoms Up Foundation is asking for donations big and small; new and old; product and monetary. Coupons, diapers, wipes, formula, school supplies, clothes, etc. in addition to Social Service opportunities. And finally, if you know of a family in need, please contact me and we will help do what we can. We are depending on people and businesses in the community to help us identify people too proud to ask. If you have any questions or have the means to donate, please feel free to contact me. The littlest things make a HUGE difference! Thank you for your consideration. We thank you from the Bottoms of our hearts!

We are three months behind but our progress has been wonderful!!

We have been very busy here at Bottoms Up . . .

Last week we finally made the move to our new office location in Momence, IL. We are slowly getting settled but what a great way to start the 2nd quarter of 2012.

Some milestones -- Each day after school, I have had several young adults come in to cut and sort coupons for people in our community and our military families overseas. They have sorted and organized formula and started making the community aware of their presence and involvement. They are working on coordinating their first community clean-up.

Our older group has started to pull our marketing materials together and have a couple meetings planned for some great opportunities in the next few weeks. Their ideas are amazing! We are now working on bringing them to life.

We have written and submitted our first grant in hope for funding to help kick off some of our summer programs. We would like to get our 'Back to School Drive' started by mid-May!

So much yet to do!! Please watch for continued updates.

All of us hear at Bottoms Up want to personally thank each and everyone of you who have supported the Bottoms Up Foundation. We cannot help the community without all of you! Thank you from the Bottom of our hearts!

Here is yet another. If you haven't already, please go out to Parent Choice and request your free sample of baby formula. I just don't have enough email addresses of my own to get a large supply for our families in need. You are welcome to use my address or your own. Thank you from the 'Bottoms Up'.

Please note: You will not receive your sample unless your address is exactly correct to postal specifications. There is a limit of one sample per household.

The Bottoms Up Foundation is a non-for-profit foundation formed late this year to help families in need; literally from the Bottoms Up.

The foundation was the idea of an 11 year old child; my son Luke Dennison and with help from his karate friends, the Board of Directors were formed. They are 'tweens and teens' and the foundations efforts are their ideas. The logo has been copyrighted and papers processed with the state. The 501c filing will come after the first of the year once we get rolling.

The foundations first initiative is to provide diapers, wipes and formula to families struggling within our communities due to circumstances beyond their control. There are many that do not qualify for the state programs yet children’s' needs do not change. Donations will be distributed to several social service agencies, recommendations and applicants of need. This effort will help raise sponsorships and grants.

Everyone brings some talent to the table. If we can all pull together as a community in tragic times, why can’t we do it all the time? Together we can do great things but it starts from the Bottoms Up.

Once we are in our office in January, (102 N Dixie Highway, Suite 2N, Momence), our desire is to grow as a resource center where members of the community can come in and work a resume, search for jobs, exchange coupons, serve within the community, etc.

To help raise awareness to our cause and the foundation, we are also asking companies/offices to sponsor a diaper drive for us. We would put a barrel in your office with fliers to post throughout the office. We would pick it up and drop off as scheduled. Depending on the size of your office, we also provide/offer raffle baskets to help encourage participation.

And finally, if you know of a family in need, please contact me and we will help do what we can. We are depending on people and businesses in the community to help us identify people too proud to ask.

If you have any questions or have the means to donate, please feel free to contact me. The littlest things make a HUGE difference!

Thank you for your consideration to help the Bottoms Up Foundation. We thank you from the Bottoms of our hearts!
