Ally's Fur-Ever Angels

Ally's Fur-Ever Angels How did Ally’s Fur-Ever Angel’s begin? With many animals of my own, I decided to foster for the first time; a pregnant dog with her 4 puppies. I was devastated.

Our mission is to serve as a resource for facilitating financial assistance for the medically necessary, life saving procedures and extended care and treatment for animals. Her name was Molly. Her owners had dropped her at a kill shelter, pregnant, knowing she would be put to sleep with her puppies. Molly’s day to receive this lethal injection with her unborn puppies was October 14, 2016. I could

not let this happen. The morning I was to pick her up, she decided to have her babies before I could get there. So off I went to get the new little family. As soon as they turned 8 weeks old, they would all be adopted and life would go back to normal. (That was the plan anyway)

Well, one of her babies, Little Ally had a mind of her own and decided she wanted to stay with me. On December 26, 2016, Ally started acting strange. I rushed her to the Emergency Clinic and in the days to follow we learned she was born with a congenital condition. She had a liver shunt. We raised thousands of dollars to get her the medical surgery she needed to save her life. Unfortunately her liver shunt was inoperable, the worst case scenario. She would have to be medically managed and given no more than 2 years to live. We took her home, signed the adoption papers so she would stay in our family and we loved her more everyday giving her the best life possible. That dreadful day came when I knew the time was near. We took her back to Auburn University, where she went every 3 months for checkups. There we received the news I never wanted to hear. She had days left. I took her home that Friday, September 14, 2018, held her in my arms that night and the entire next day. She died in my arms that Saturday night, September 15, 2018 at 11:57 pm. We buried her that Sunday morning under a beautiful sunrise. Tears rolling down my cheeks... I knew I would see my Ally again one day. My world changed forever. In the days following I saw more rainbows than ever before. She was letting me know... she made it and she would be waiting on me. God put Ally in my life to teach me lessons I needed to learn. I promised her with her last breath that she would not die in vain and I would continue to help animals in her name. That’s how Ally’s Fur-Ever Angels began. And about the rest of her little family.... her 2 sisters Demi & Emelia were adopted together and live in Texas. Her little brother Judd and her mom Molly well.... they live with me. I adopted them too. And yes... We named them after the movie characters in The Breakfast Club...how could we not with Molly as their mom. Contact Info: Kim Cheney
