Thanksgiving has always been about more than a meal. It’s about connection, generosity, and remembering what truly matters. This year was a tremendous success. We are thankful for everyone who shared a meal with us, the volunteers who worked tirelessly over the past two days, the outpouring of donations that make it possible to feed our community, and Mr. Thanksgiving himself.

This meal began more than 50 years ago because one man believed everyone should have the opportunity to sit across from one another and share a meal.

Mission accomplished!

With one week left to go until Thanksgiving, we are in the final countdown to our Annual Thanksgiving Meal. Next week’s meal will mark 55 years of our community’s time honored tradition.

This year we will serve 1,500 meals. Our annual meal is open to anyone seeking a place to gather, enjoy a friendly crowd, and come together as a community giving thanks for the many blessings we have all around us.

This year has been hard for many. No one should eat alone. All are welcome through our doors from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

We are grateful to our generous partners in putting on this event: RIA Federal Credit Union , Hy-Vee , and Mercado On Fifth .

We are also grateful to our community members, schools, and businesses who have provided financial support to feed those walking through the doors on Thanksgiving Day.
